MIDDLETON ON THE WOLDS PARISH COUNCIL
PARISH CLERK AND RESPONSIBLE FINANCE OFFICER
Middleton-on-the-Wolds Parish Council is seeking to appoint a Parish Clerk and Responsible Finance Officer, working on a part-time basis for a minimum of 18 hours per month (including attendance at monthly Council Meetings).
The hours of work are flexible except for attendance at Council Meetings which are held on the first Monday of each month from 7.00pm. Training will be arranged as necessary.
The monthly remuneration, from which tax will be deducted at source, is based on NJC Salary Scales, and will be commensurate with qualifications, experience and pro-rata to hours worked.
Duties include general administration, accounts, liaising with the Chairman to set the agenda, minute taking and follow-up action and providing relevant advice to Parish Councillors and local residents. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and computerised accounts is essential. Familiarity with the local area is desirable.
