Welcome to ERNLLCA's website
A MESSAGE FROM OUR PRESIDENT
Councillor Tom Glossop
I am pleased to have the oppor
tunity to welcome you to our website which has been compiled to provide our member councils with an additional form of resource. I hope your council will find the content to be useful.
ERNLLCA (and its predecessor organisation, the Humberside Association of Parish and Town Councils) has been serving parish and town councils, and parish meetings, since 1974. In the years since we have seen many changes to local government and the expectations placed on our tier of local government has grown and grown.
Our Officers work hard to provide ever-improving services and I know that you all make good use of the talent and professionalism that is on offer.
The Desktop Advisory Service is nearly two and a half times busier than it was six years ago - a reflection of the level of activity amongst our member councils.
ERNLLCA exists purely to serve its members and the more councils that are in membership, the stronger ERNLLCA can be. 2008/2009 proved to be a very good year for recruiting new members but we cannot be complacent. Growing ERNLLCA is a responsibility we all share and I hope you can take whatever opportunities you can to promote ERNLLCA to the minority of councils that are not in membership.
ERNLLCA is our association, it belongs to us - the parish and town councils (and the parish meetings).
Please note that ERNLLCA is a member organisation and our Officers cannot advise members of the public on matters relating to specific parish and town councils. If you have a query about an individual parish or town council you should contact the relevant Clerk or Chairman.
If you would like to know more about membership please contact the staff on 01652 661617 or e-mail enquiries@ernllca.org.uk
