ERNLLCA SPRING CONFERENCE 2010

Saturday 17 April 2010

Ropewalk Contemporary Art & Craft Centre, Barton upon Humber

We hope you will be able to join us at the event.  Last year's Spring Conference was a huge success which we built on with the all day training seminar on employment issues in the autumn of last year.  We have been able to secure speakers from national organisations, together with a third who will speak on a regional issue.  The fourth speaker will give a short persentation of employment issues.  We hope the conference will provide you with useful and thought-provoking day.

ERNLLCA SPRING CONFERENCE 2009

Rope Walk Contemporary Art & Craft Centre, Barton upon Humber

"Excellent Day", "Very Well Organised", "Friendly Atmosphere", "Well Worth Attending", "Excellent First Conference - Look Forward To The Next One", "Excellent Value", "Very Wothwhile and Interesting".
Just a few of the comments you made about ERNLLCA's first all-day conference!
Nearly 50 people took the opportunity to come together at ERNLLCA's first ever Spring Conference to discuss issues such as the practicalities of the Code of Conduct and Vexatious Requests. The newly elected chairman of the National Association of Local Councils, Councillor Michael Chater, gave the key note speech explaining how national initiatives impact at a local level. Workshop sessions on the Power of Well Being and Good Decision Making were very well attended, both generating good discussion.
Quality Status Certificates were presented by Councillor Michael Chater to Airmyn Parish Council, Newbald Parish Council and Withernsea Town Council. Beverley Town Council were also presented with their re-accredition Certificate - the first council in the ERNLLCA area to be awarded their re-accrediation. Congratulations to all.
Certificates were also presented to councillors who had attended ERNLLCA's accredited three-part training course on Advanced Chairmanship.
